Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) General Secretary Renato Reyes recently took to Facebook to comment on the dismissal of suspected druglords Kerwin Espinosa and Peter Lim, among others, by the Department of Justice.
The druglords were dismissed due to lack of evidence.
Renato said that this incident was proof that the justice system of the Philippines is “flawed and rotten”.
“Lumilinaw muli na walang pagbabago. Dating gawi pa rin. Bulok pa rin,” he said.
He added that these people already confessed that they are drug lords but still the courts still allowed them to roam free.
He also says that this is unfair because these drug lords are released but the poor people are immmediately shot dead on the streets and called terrorists.

“And so we are again reminded how deeply flawed and rotten the legal system is.
Where a self-confessed and a convicted drug lord are left off the hook while alleged street-level peddlers are ruthlessly killed.
Where moneyed syndicates are exonerated while human rights defenders are slandered as “terrorists”.
Lumilinaw muli na walang pagbabago. Dating gawi pa rin. Bulok pa rin.”
