Tinawag ni Sen. Leila De Lima na “polluted source” at “pathological liar” si Janet Lim-Napoles matapos nitong sabihing sinubukan siyang kikilan ng pera dating justice secretary.
“When asked who among the senators and congressmen were her clients, she asked it depends on whom we wanted implicated. That is when I knew that Napoles is a liar and will lie and say anything to save herself and keep the money she stole from the government,” ani De Lima.
Tumanggi rin umano ang senadora noon na hawakan ang kaso ni Napoles dahil isa itong kriminal, sangkot sa kidnapping at nasampahan ng kasong plunder.
“I refused to be her handler because she is a criminal, convicted for kidnapping and charged with plunder, and because she is a pathological liar. I will not be surprised if her present government handlers are now telling her what to say and who to implicate in exchange for her liberty which has already been promised her by the Solicitor General,” ani De Lima.
Kinuwestiyon din ng abogado ni De Lima na si Alexander Padilla ang timing ni Napoles sa kanyang inilabas na statement.
Una nang sinabi ni Napoles na tinangka siyang huthutan ng pera ni De Lima kapalit ang pagpapahinto sa muling pagbukas ng kasong serious illegal detention na isinampa naman laban sa kanya.
