Two people were killed while four others were injured, following an explosion in Islamic Center in Quiapo, Manila Saturday night, May 6.

As of this writing, authorities are still determining the identities of the fatalities as well as the wounded victims.
Based on the initial report, the incident happened around 5:55 p.m. on Norzagaray Street, just a few steps away from Barbosa Police Community Precinct.
A ready-to-wear clothing stall was damaged in the incident. The Authorities immediately cordoned off the area, while MPD Chief Joel Napoleon Coronel and NCRPO Chief Oscar Albayalde arrived at the blast site to oversee the investigation.
Probers are still determining the extent of the damage as well as the type of explosive used in the blast.
It was the second explosion in Quiapo, Manila this year. The first explosion happened last April 28 and resulted in the wounding of 13 people.
